Review by The Anime Post

Majin Planet is anything and everything. It ranges from gaming, anime, music videos, movies and almost whatever you can lay information of. It is a anime site turned into a full fledge entertainment site. They offer tutorials on how to make music videos, html tips, photoshop tutorials, you name it. A site full of usefull information.

Although the site is full of usefull information, I'm not digging the designs. The layout idea is great but some of the design/photoshop skill seems to need some more. It just seems maybe to much like something that was made in the 90s. I'm talking about the graphics not the layout interface. The graphics on the layout interface is what im refering to. But the graphics have been getting better since I first started visiting the site under dedicated webmsater Neckar Unrivaled.

There is a decent amount of multimedia, but not your average multimedia. There aren't full fledge anime episodes like you see at most sites but there are music videos, anime clips, video tutorials, trailers, and a online radio blog to top it off. Not a whole lot of media like the community is use to but a unique amount.

For originality I would say this site is pretty up there in the top original sites. The site idea isn't really original but what they bring to the drawing board is. I'm really digging the way Invision board was intergrated into the site interface. It brings a much for professional feel to the site and i'm sure it makes the site much easier to manage. I know how much it is easier to manage a site all in MySQL because I designed the whole Manga Spin member system my self and let me tell you it is a lot easier to backup the site.

The site includes a ton of interaction. Like I said before the whole site is intergrated into IPB which lets you do a ton with the site. Allowing people to comment on almost every page using the forums, it really helps the site with making fans stay directly on the site. One thing I must say is that I respect Neckar because he has really done a lot of work on this site. From the IPB intergration to all the information Majin Planet provides. Also really helping out other webmasters and video editors with all the tutorials MP gives out. Just need to work on the design a little bit but stick with the professional layout styles.

Grade Given: Interaction: A-
Multimedia: B-
Information: A+
Design: C+
Originality: A
Overall: B+
