Description: Finally, after five months and fourteen days, I release another full length video. Part of my problems came from working on any idea that came into my mind. This video had actually been in production since the middle of September when I got an advance copy of the CD. I started editing it and pre-ordered the CD and finally received it one week after it was released. From then on I was dead set on finishing the video, no matter how long it took.
This video seemed to encounter problem after problem. Most of the issues didn’t show up until after the one minute mark. These ranged from Premiere export issues, to file compatibility issues to Premiere not liking the amount of effects on a clip all the way to the usual random crashing of Premiere and of my PC. I still have at least one hundred gigabytes of converted huffy episodes, because Premiere hated the Xvid and DivX Raw episodes. Baring this in mind, it made me want to complete the video even more and even the Xvid encode of the video was a pain in the ass.
The whole concept behind the video is sort of played out, but I heard the song and had the idea so I had to run with it. This video is similar to how I did my last video. I made this as a semi-redo of The Kill, instead of re-mastering The Kill I decided to do what I didn’t think I did well in that video, in this video. I wanted to make this at a core an action video, but also show how the characters relationships move the story along. There isn’t a really deep hidden meaning to this video, just a bit of thought behind the video.
All of the problems aside this video was really fun to make, and it was one of my first experiments with After Effects. I used After Effects for the glow and the camera shake that you can see throughout the video. I also used a bit of Premiere’s effects, but I wanted to incorporate AE, and have been attempting to in some of my newer MEP Projects that I am a part of. I truly enjoyed making this video and I hope that other people enjoy watching the video. |
