Here is the first look at the first official Dragonball movie. EDIT: It could be Teto and Emi two people who go to school with Goku. I have yet to really get any confirmation on it. However the actor here: at this link is playing Teto and is listed as a cast member for Dragonball, which is being listed as a 2009 release. Sorry I didn't post up more info about this sooner, I was in a rush when I found out about it. Some movie sites are saying that his name in the movie is Weaver not Teto. Also there is a rumor going around that Ernie Hudson (Ghost Busters 1/2, Oz) is playing Kami. He has said in an interview a few months back he was working on a movie called "Dragonball" base off the Japanese Manga of the same name, yet did not say who he was playing or how big a role he may have. It may be a small role or he may be playing someone new.

Not that much can be seen from a picture like that, if you hadn't told me it was from Dragonball Movie then they just look like random people to me.

Just some other rumors I've heard on a number of big movie forums and blogs:

Krillin, Tien, Chaozu, Oolong, Pur are not in the movie and likely will not be in any future movie because the Director James Wong doesn't see them as a big character and are basically throw away characters as many fans have stated. Just a note on this rumor. I can seen the latter of the list being true. After Dragonball, most of them did little and had small roles in Dragonball Z so not having them isn't a big deal. However I like to at least have them be said so at least we know their there even if we don't see them.

About Krillin, the biggest slack is the fact hes not in it. However lot of so called "DBZ fans" say hes not needed at all. My own opinion I can see this being true. However notes I've read that their is an actor playing Goku's best friend. He looks nothing close to Krillin, some say it may be a code name to throw us off. They pulled this all the time. However there are some key things in the story that if they follow will be a bit lame with out Krillin, such as for me the major one, Krillin dying and sending Goku over the edge he needed to reach Super Saiyan, this also in part help Gohan reach Super Saiyan. Plus out of so called Throw away characters, Krillin had the biggest part up unit Buu Saga.

Another rumor going around is that lot of Japanese fans and even Akira Toriyama himself dislike the fact that Goku is being played by a white man and not an Asian Actor, but support the idea of a live action movie. I can't speak for the Japanese fans, but I don't think Akira Toriyama would say that. In an interview a while back (like 2003) he said he welcome the idea of a Dragonball Z live action movie. Being how the movies have done things we never thought could be done he has not doubt a live action version Dragonball would be great. He is also a very nice person and has never publicly said anything bad or against anything while some fans believe that if he did have such fillings such as not liking the way the English dubs where done by FUNimation he likely would keep it to himself.

Many say that Akira Toriyama was kick off the picture because he wanted to much control which is why for many years it was said to be just a rumor. However many thing its not true and that he likely has had some say on the final script or at least talked with FOX about it at some point. At the moment hes been working around the clock on the upcoming Dragonball Online PC game for some time now making it almost impossible for him to double on the movie being made by FOX.

Take it for what its worth. I haven't seen lot of dragonball movie talk going on here, being we are a DBZ site so I figure I let everyone know what other fans outside our small community think to give us some talking points.
