Movieland posted an interesting article about an 2nd Dragonball film ready to start filming next year?! Take this for what you want, but I think they are trying to film them back to back so that the look will be the same and that they'll be able to have the same actors in all three movies. Some people are now saying that the 2nd movie will be base on the saiyans, more so Vegeta and Frieza followed by the last one covering Gohan and Cell. It depends if all three do well if they even go into the Majin Buu and GT sagas. Sounds like a plan as we would only miss out on Majin Buu, Mystic/Ultimate Gohan, Super Saiyan 3 Goku, and Fusion if they opt not to do the Buu saga to film.
What do you fans think about this news? Keep in mind that at the moment Dragonball is rumor to a release date some time in April 2009, some say this December and some say it has no release date and is on the edge of being scrap all together. QUOTE Second part of Dragonball will be shot in the first quarter of 2009
One of my sources was able to talk to one of the contractors who work with the production of Dragonball in Durango, this person says that the production has assured him that all three films are set to film in Durango, and that they secured his job for the coming years as a supplier of production … He also commented that if things go well, “Dragonball 2″ could begin filmed at the end of the first quarter of 2009, that is, within a year. Something that certainly is good news for fans and of course for the people of Durango, as this indicates that the trilogy will be shot in Durango and this makes sense, since it was revealed that some sets of Dragonball would stay even when filming was complete. It also depends on how you go at the box office and the acceptance by having fans … But we hope that all goes well |

They'll have to find another place than Durango to do the whole Namek thing.

I doubt they are going to be doing that. In fact I think what they're going to do is have Vegeta and Frieza be the main bad guys, having Vegeta be the main bad guy hlaf way into it until we discover that he really hates Frieza and so on. I don't think they are evil going to try and explain another set of Dragonballs, as such I think there is going to be only one set of Dragonballs. I guess for a movie version it makes lot of sense being that most people will be confused as it is about one set of Dragonballs let along multi versions (Kami's, Namek's, Black Star and Denda's) of Dragonballs.

They should NOT do a DBGT movie. If they get to Buu, they should stop after Buu. That'd be neat if they made live action movies out of the DBZ movies though....
